#FridayFamilyFinds: Valentine Picks

It’s been a while since I’ve debuted a new feature here on MPMK, so I’m excited to announce #FridayFamilyFinds. I regularly find things I want to share with you guys while going about my daily life… a favorite shampoo, a really cool toy, and – always – a good book for you or your kids.

A few Fridays a month I’m gonna shop my house, take some pretty pics, and share these favorites here and on instagram with the hashtag #FridayFamilyFinds.

Today, I’m starting with a Valentine theme. Ready? Here we go…

Pick #1: Ruby Red Starbucks Ceramic & Stainless Mug

Finding Valentine’s gifts for the men in your life is no easy task, am I right?

A winning gender neutral item in a bright red is a solid bet and I’ve loved this ceramic and stainless Starbucks tumbler since I got it in October. The bright hue never fails to put a smile on my face.

Pick #2: Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Film Camera

If you haven’t had a chance to play with one of these super fun cameras, I highly recommend you try it. They’re like the polaroids from the good ol’ days on steroids.

They come in lots of bright colors and there are all kinds of interesting types of film you can use with them. The best thing about them is how easy they are to use (and actually get good photos!). That’s because the camera signals the recommended aperture setting with a flashing LED. This helps capture the perfect photo every time.

The perfect gift for your daughter, your bestie, or yourself.

Pick #3: Plant a Kiss

I love the tradition of giving the kids holiday themed books so that we gradually build a little library around each one. This is

This is our family’s all-time favorite Valentine’s Day Book. The message behind the little girl that can’t be convinced NOT to share is just the best.

Pick #4: Kiss My Face Moisture Shave

I’ve written here before about my slow but steady mission to go as non-toxic as possible at home. This shaving cream, rated a 3 by Think Dirty, has been a favorite mine for over a year now. A lot of beauty products are hard to find good non-toxic trade-outs for but this switch was totally painless.

I included it in today’s finds because better health and a better shave is a great gift to give yourself this Valentine’s Day. Plus there’s the word “kiss” in the name, so.
